Tabletop Object by Built Form

Built Form designed and fabricated tabletop objects to be presented as gifts to help the client generate interest in a proposed mixed use project in downtown Durham, North Carolina designed by Built Form. The gift item featured a 1:50 building massing model enclosed in a protective structure which acted as a stage-set when unfolded for display.

Las Palmitas Mural by German Crew

July 31, 2015

Germen Crew just completed what could be one of the world's largest murals in a small Mexican pueblo. The colorful mural was Commissioned by the Las Palmitas, Pachuca District, long known for its role as the "Drug Capital of Mexico." A massive public art project comprising 209 homes and over 215,000 square feet, the Macro Mural reveals a hybrid style that leans heavily on the group's graffiti background.

Snap by Be-Elastic

Spanish designers Maria Roca and Erika Biarnes of new company Be-elastic have come up with a creative way to help furniture keep up with our increasing mobile, space-conscious and environmentally-sensitive lives. Their first design, SNAP, is a steel loop leg that clamps on and off—making it possible to create a bench, table, shelf and more out of almost any flat surface.

The Beach by Snarkitecture

From now through September 7, 2015, the national building museum in Washington D.C. hosts a 10,000 square foot ball pit filled by nearly one million recyclable translucent plastic balls. ‘the beach’ is the brainchild of Brooklyn-based studio Snarkitecture, who sees the project as ‘an exciting opportunity to create an architectural installation that reimagines the qualities and possibilities of material, encourages exploration and interaction with one’s surroundings, and offers an unexpected and memorable landscape for visitors to relax and socialize within.’

MIA T-Shirts by Jenny Holzer

The fine art museum in Minneapolis has asked contemporary artists to help celebrate its 100th anniversary by designing a special collection of T-shirts, dubbed "Artist Statements." Each T-shirt is distinctive of each artist's unique work and style—and completely wearable. Jenny Holzer's T-shirts, bear thought-provoking phrases that especially stand out and require an attitude to match it.
